Sand Casting

After an introduction to the workshop you will be guided through the process of sand casting, with demonstrations, and supported as you create your own pendant in recycled sterling silver. After casting your piece you will use a variety of skills to finish your pendant. By the end of the day you will have a finished pendant to take home with you

This is a fun and exciting way of making jewellery, and the workshop is suitable for both beginners, and those looking to develop their jewellery-making skills.

The workshop fee includes up to 10g of recycled sterling silver bullion per person, and a 45cm recycled sterling silver chain for your pendant. Should you wish to use more silver, this can be purchased on the day. A light lunch is also included, as are refreshments.

This private workshop can accommodate 2 participants. The date can be arranged to suit you.

Please be aware that the studio is situated within a 400 year old listed building, with characteristics that mean that it may not be accessible if you have mobility issues. I recommend discussing this with me before you book. Although I will do my best to accommodate your needs, unfortunately, the only toilet is located on the first floor.

Minimum age is 16. Participants aged 16-18 must be accompanied by an adult also participating in the workshop.
